November 14 is #WorldDiabetesDay. #WDD strives to raise awareness and continue the conversation surrounding the #diabetes epidemic. Here are some tips for diabetes self-management from PCN nurses:
🥦 Eat a healthy diet. This includes limiting processed foods and choosing foods rich in fibre and nutrients.
🏃🏾 Get regular exercise. Exercise helps to regulate blood sugar levels and can also help to reduce stress.
🩸 Monitor your blood sugar levels regularly. This will help you identify patterns and make necessary adjustments to your diet and lifestyle.
❌ Avoid tobacco use. Tobacco can damage your blood vessels and increase your risk for complications from diabetes.
